Unlock the power of being fully present. This experiential workshop introduces participants to mindfulness, examines some of common misunderstandings, and looks at practical ways it can be of benefit to everyone.
In many areas of our lives, we tend to be on automatic pilot, not really focused on what is happening in the present moment. Have you ever had the experience of driving to a destination along a familiar route, arriving and realizing you have no recollection of the journey? We have a tendency, due to the busyness of our lives, to live in a different time zone than the present moment. For example, we may spend a great deal of time in the future, worrying or planning, or in the past, ruminating over events, real or perceived hurts, and frequently, judging and evaluating our performance.
Mindfulness sets us free from the habit of living in the past or the future by enabling us to focus our attention on what is happening in the "here and now". This workshop will provide you with the tools you need to begin practicing mindfulness and living in a mindful way.
